The Moroccan society was shocked by the detention and brutal rape of a Moroccan minor called “Khadija” by 10 young men aged between 18 and 27 years old before they mutilated parts of her body with sexually suggested tattoos.
“Khadija”, who is 17 years old, lives in the city of “Al-Faqih bin Saleh”, a “rural" area which is known to be conservative.
These human ‘beasts’ kidnapped “Khadija” and detained her in an uninhabited olive grove where they raped her.
Over the course of two months, “Khadija” was subjected to all kinds of inhuman treatment of rape and beatings. However, this was not enough for the rapists, as they sadistically “perpetuate" their heinous criminal act by drawing sexually suggested tattoos throughout her body.
“Khadija” described the rapists as monsters, saying, "They are all criminals, ruthless with no pity." She added crying: "Each one of them drew the tattoo he likes… Now I cannot go out to the street, I want my rights.”
For its part, the security forces arrested eight suspects while two others escaped. A trial session was set for September 6 at the Court of Appeal in “Beni Mellal” on charges of rape, detention, torture and forming a criminal gang.
For its part, the women's associations in Morocco called on implementing the maximum penalty for the rapists, in addition to provide the victim with the health and psychological care, calling for the activation of Law 103-13 on the confrontation violence against women.
