The municipal workers in Tripoli renewed their protests because of the procrastination of the authorities in meeting their old demands and settling their accumulated problems.
Dozens of workers gathered outside the Tripoli’s municipality in “Eid al-Adha “’s holiday, announcing that they will enter an open-ended strike and set tents, asking for the wages and ranks’ allowances and to be equal to the rest of the municipal workers in terms of grants, work clothes and sicknesses aid, just like the other municipalities.
These protests come amidst the severe economic crisis witnessed by the country and the continued suffering of workers, dur to the deterioration of their purchasing power with the huge rise in prices.
