On August 8, the employees of the post and telecommunications sector held a protest, which was organized by the General Federation of the Libyan Trade Unions, in protest against the miserable professional and social conditions, in addition to the indiscriminate management of the sector, especially in light of the intervention of the Vice President of the Presidential Council “Ahmed Maitiq”, who dominates the service sectors in the postal sector and others.
The protesters raised slogans and banners calling for the preserving and protection of their sector’s sustainability and for the need to develop it and to confront all the attempts to destroy it and violate the rights of its employees.
