The International Trade Union Confederation issued a statement on the occasion of the International Youth Day, which takes place every 12 August of the year, as follows:
"Every year, on 12 August, the working young men and women declare their absolute rejection of a world dominated by the arrogance and racial discrimination of the institutions and their rejection to deprive foreign workers of their legitimate rights.
Young people also condemn the violence and harassment in and out of the workplaces, raising their voices in solidarity with the older workers, migrant women, disabled people and all the workers, who are exposed to discrimination, violence and harassment, as well as, their rejection of the worst forms of discrimination faced by the marginalized people and workers in their home countries.
The International Trade Unions Confederation confirms its continuation of struggle and its work to defend the rights of workers, especially the working youth, men and women, by finding solutions to people who are subjected to exploitation. "
