The United Nations called the concerned parties in Syria to guarantee the safety and protection of the local relief workers there, particularly in the front lines.
The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syrian crisis said in a statement that the Syrian aid workers risk their lives every day and work to provide life-saving assistance to the Syrians in line with humanitarian principles, stressing the adherence of all the conflicting parties in Syria under the international humanitarian and human rights law to respect and protect the workers in the humanitarian field, and the other civilians.
In the same context, according to the official Jordanian news agency, “Petra”, the British, Canadian and German countries pledged to resettle the elements of” the Syrian Civil Defense”, also known as the “White Helmets”, who were working in the opposition control areas and fled to the occupied Golan when the Syrian army started an attack in the area.
