Four maintenance workers were injured in a fire that broke out in an ophthalmology center on last Sunday in the Ibrahimiya area east of Alexandria, during the repair of one of the machines belonging to the fire system.
The security sources said that the investigation showed that the center occupies three floors of the building and the fire broke out from one of the machines of the fire system under maintenance on the ground floor, which led to the partial combustion of the machine.
Four maintenance workers were injured by second-degree burns throughout their bodies and were taken to the main university hospital for treatment.
After questioning the injured, the security sources’ inspection was supported. In fact, while they were doing the maintenance work of the machine referred to, an electrical explosion through the wires took place, which led to the fire.
