The hydrocarbons workers and the private sector asked at the level of the national oil companies and the private service companies in the city of Hassi Masoud for equality and fairness through the generalization of the summer timing, in case the number of working hours was not reduced, a new procedure has to be taken as compensation of these hours their compensation through establishing special grant to them.
It is known that the government decided to reduce the number of the working hours, in the southern states since the beginning of August until the end of this month, which included the public sector, which raised many questions, especially that the economic sector and the hydrocarbons sector, in particular are hard work and one of the most affected sectors.
The non-implementation of this decision (to reduce the length of work hours in the southern states of the country from 6 am to 1 pm for a month) led to the outrage and resentment of the workers of the other sectors, who were not concerned by this decision, which was the case for the hydrocarbons sector, which is one of the most difficult and important sectors. Meanwhile, it contributes to the public treasury revenues by more than 95 percent.
The workers of the oil companies did not benefit from the decision, as working in this field is one of the hardest works at all, in addition to the work in the middle of the desert at high temperatures.
It is known that workshop workers, most of whom work at the level of oil drilling rigs, cannot stop working. They work for continuous hours, but they accepted the absence of a procedure that would reduce their working hours or even encourage them to increase the damage grant or area so as to create balance without discriminating or neglecting the other sectors, in addition to the fact that everyone knows that the economic sector, whether private or public, is a productive sector and contributes to benefits.
On the other hand, many parties asked to reconsider the implementation of this resolution, which included only one month, as well as, they asked for the reducing the working hours at least for July and August, rather than implementing it only in August, especially that the heat wave in the summer begins with the beginning of July until the end of August in most of the southern states.
