The Centre for Trade Union and Workers' Services announced in a communiqué that a delegation from the independent trade unions and a group of lawyers wrote a memorandum, on Sunday 6 August, to the Ministry of Manpower asking for the removal of the obstacles facing a number of independent trade unions, which have settled their occupational positions. In addition, they asked for the settling of the independent trade unions’ position, which have been refused by the directorates of the labor force, despite the completion of their papers in violation of the law and its executive regulations and the instructions issued by the ministry on the reconciliation of situation.
The memorandum also included the request to accept the new unions' founding papers pursuant to the Trade Unions Law No. 213 of 2018 and its executive regulations. The delegation handed over the memorandum signed by a number of independent trade unions to Mr. “Adel Sobhi”, the union spokesman at the Ministry of Manpower.
It is noteworthy that the campaign of empowerment and foundation prepared this memorandum during its first meeting, last Friday.
