Under the slogan "Young trade union leaders for a better future," the second session of the Academy of Young Trade Union Leaders in the Middle East and North Africa started on Saturday (14 July) in “Gammarth”, Tunisia.
A number of young trade unionists from Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, Libya, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq participate in this session, which is organized by the Arab Trade Union Confederation in cooperation with the German Friedrich Ebert foundation.
Over five days, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists, young participants will benefit from a number of training sessions to improve their communication skills, negotiation techniques, group training and campaign management, as well as, conflict management.
The participants will also benefit from the history and concepts of the economic developments in the Middle East and North Africa, especially about the irregular sector and the development of employment, as well as, the issue of the transformation of the labor market and its impact on the trade union activity.
The Arab Academy of Young Trade Unionists is part of the partnership program between the Arab Trade Union Confederation and the German Friedrich Ebert foundation to support the capacities of the Young Trade Unionists in the Arab world.
