The workers of Dar Al-Dawa company in Jordan ended their strike, which they had started last week following an agreement concluded last Thursday between all the parties and under the supervision of the Labor, Social Development and Parliamentary Population Committee.
The agreement stipulated the company's commitment to pay 30 dinars as a cost-of-living allowance, starting from September 1st, and not to take any disciplinary actions or direct any penalty or deduction to any worker who had joined the strike. The workers of Dar Al-Dawa had begun their open strike on last Tuesday to ask for the review of the salaries of the former employees according to the career ladder, the establishment of a clear system and a specific period of promotions within the company's bylaws, the creation of a secure environment for job, and the identification of the conditions of dismissing workers. They also asked for the establishment of a system of annual increase, the payment of a subsistence allowance, the reactivation of the savings fund along with the disbursement of the fifteenth salary and the permanent recruitment of all the employees who have successfully completed the trial period, in addition to the adoption of the incentive system and its adoption within the company's system.
