The ministry of Human Resources linked the granting of new work permits to establishments and individuals with six main conditions, the most important of which is the absence of any collective labour disputes related to the non-payment of salaries or non-provision of adequate housing.
The ministry confirmed that the total number of establishments and individuals who submitted the applications for the completion of the work permit quota service exceeded 97 000 applications by the end of last month, pointing out that the fees for providing the service depend on the professional level of the worker, whether he is outside or inside the state and the category established in the classification system.
The ministry stipulated that the company should not have any collective labour disputes regarding the non-payment of salaries or lack of adequate housing. It also stipulated that the register of the establishment in the ministry should be free from any restrictions or irregularities. In addition, at least one of the authorized should have an electronic signature card, and that the owner has to unionize all of his establishments under one personal number.
The requirements also include the enterprise’s necessity to submit a wage protection report (if requested), with no expired business cards for more than three months, expired work permits for six months, or licenses expired for more than 70 days for all the other owned establishments either by one owner or shared by any of many owners or partners.
