Doctors from the public sector in the Kingdom of Morocco launched a strike on Tuesday and Wednesday, following the call of the independent union of doctors of the public sector, as part of the completion of its struggle program for the month of June 2018.
This move comes after that no positive steps have been reached in relation to the professional and social demands set by the Ministry of Health for more than 20 years.
The union confirmed in a statement that the ministry completely ignored the dire conditions of the public hospitals and the lack of equipment and continue in depriving citizens of a respectable health service and make their health instead in constant danger.
The Medical Syndicate said that "all non-medical administrative work will be interrupted for three months starting from June until the end of August 31, with the interruption of random medical convoys or that of political suspicion; indicating the doctors' intention to boycott " the periodic reports and statistics except for the compulsory diseases’; and birth and death certificates. "
