The General Union for Social Affairs of the Tunisian General Union of Labour (UGTT) held a working session with the Ministry of Social Affairs on June 4th about the disability associations’ workers, under which the strike decided by the union was postponed to the 25th of June.
This agreement stipulates that the workers’ financial dues should be paid, entitled May 2018 remuneration.
During the meeting, the ministerial side stated that the decision of the Minister of Social Affairs dated 16 May 2018 concerning the ratification of Amendment No. 1 to the Sectoral Cooperative Agreement of the associations of care for the handicapped people was published in the official journal No. 43 of 29 May 2018.
The Ministry also confirmed its keenness to cooperate with the various departments and structures involved in the disbursement of the increases stipulated in the amendment annex, as soon as possible.
As for the production grant, it was announced that the General Administration of the Common Interests and the General Directorate for Social Development in coordination with the concerned bodies, especially the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity, are in the process of completing the procedures related to the payment of this grant, as soon as possible.
