The protests continue in Jordan against the Income Tax Law, despite the resignation of the Prime Minister. The Chairman of the Jordanian Council of Trade Unions “Ali Al-Abous” confirmed that the strike of next Wednesday is related to the withdrawal of the amended Income Tax Bill.
He pointed out that the Council of Trade Unions adheres to the strike until they announce the withdrawal of the amended Income Tax Law.
The statements of the Chairman of the Council of Trade Unions came after the abolition of “Hani Al-Mulqi’s “government, following many protests in Jordan, rejecting the government's economic policies and the amended Income Tax Bill.
It is worth mentioning that the resignation of the Prime Minister came after his meeting with the King at “Al-Husseiniya” Palace, last Monday, to name the Minister of Education “Omar Al-Razaz” as the new Prime Minister.
