To ask for their delayed salaries: The Mauritanian students in Tunisia threaten to enter in a hunger strike

The Mauritanian students in Tunisia threatened to enter into a hunger strike, following the strike they carried out inside the Mauritanian embassy in Tunis to ask for their delayed salaries.

Students of the Association of Mauritanian Students and Trainees in Tunisia issued a statement asking the embassy workers to stop using arrogance and intransigence in dealing with students and their representatives, appoint the dates of payment of the second meeting of the National Grants Committee and facilitate the procedures of its disbursement, in order to avoid the delays and procrastination in paying the last installment, this year.

They also called for the payment of the final installment of grants to the students of Tunis and Bizerte governorates within a deadline (midday, Saturday, 2 June), confirming their readiness to enter into an open hunger strike inside the embassy headquarters.
