More than 20 workers in the Turkish company "Mega Textile" for clothing, has launched a strike inside the headquarters of the institution, in the industrial area of Sadat in Menoufia, since last Thursday, to ask for the payment of their delayed a financial due like their colleagues who were dismissed, or return to work and pay their delayed wages.
Workers sources confirmed that the company's management put the workers inside a small room. When they objected about the size of the room and lack of ventilation and ill treatment, they were subjected to the security of the company by the instructions of the manager and the instructions of the current chairman.
The administration closed the doors in front of the workers before ‘iftar’ and cut off the electricity from the factory to stifle the workers. The workers were unable to enter food and drink until several parties intervened. The workers also sought help in many occasions to open the doors before the Maghreb prayer.
The workers asked for the intervention of the Minister of Manpower and the Egyptian government against the abuse and injustice of the management of the Turkish company.
It is noteworthy that the workers had released a document about two weeks ago against the company's current management, accusing them of not paying their dues and preventing them from entering the company, facing the security officers and other armed men when they tried to enter to meet the manager.
