Luxor province announced the cancellation of the afternoon working hours for janitors in the summer, in order to ease the workers and ensure their safety on the third year in a row.
The working hours of the cleaning workers were also adjusted during the month of Ramadan, taking into account the appropriate working time with the dates of ‘Iftar’ (the post-fast breaking feasts) and ‘Suhoor’ (the pre-fast meals,) so as to avoid the imbalance in the hygiene system, especially with the changes in the population and commercial movements and the increase in the quantities of waste generated as a result of the high consumption in the governorate during Ramadan.
