Lebanon: Labor sit-in calls for fighting corruption

Lebanon: The national, trade union and civil forces in Tripoli and the labor union in the north staged a sit-in in the hill square of Tripoli to denounce corruption, where they held banners reading: Peoples rights over the interests of the rulers; The government ignored the protected thieves to increase the burdens of the traffickers; Stop waste, corruption and quotas.

 

They called for combating corruption and waste, activating the financial and administrative control institutions, increasing wages and salaries should be covered by reducing useless spending and imposing taxes on the profits of banks and major real estate companies, dealing with the file of assault on marine and river property and combating tax evasion and customs control at the airport and Salaries as well as compensations of current and former presidents, ministers and deputies.
