Egypt – Workers at the Egyptian textile Company in El Sadat Industrial Zone, Menoufia Governorate, continued their strike for the third day in a row to demand higher salaries, pay special annual profits, increase meal allowance, pay the social allowance approved by the state. One of the workers confirmed that the owner of the company refused to implement the increase allowances approved by the last July, and that the maximum salary in the company is 1800 pounds for those who spent 10 years working in the company, and said: the company is violating our rights. The workers demanded Dr. Hisham Abdel Basset Governor of Monofia to intervene and end the problem and raise their salary especially that work in textile factories cause many serious chest diseases, and that they will continue an open strike until all their demands are fulfilled.
