Bahrain: (400) worker in a private company staging a protest to demand their wages

Bahrain – More than 400 workers in a private company protested against their company for not paying their salaries for more than 5 months, while the company only paid 20 dinars per month for employees, while the company demands the Ministry of labour an amount of money exceeds millions to pay dues to workers. The workers stayed for more than 5 hours on Istiklal Street to protest the non payment of their salaries for more than 5 months, explaining that their work visa had expired and some have become illegal. Workers say that their conditions are getting worst as they have family obligations that need to be met and they need their full salary. Workers also said that the Association for the Protection of Migrant Workers provide them with 3 meals a day, while they live in the headquarters provided by the company, pointing out that this is not enough, and that they need to get paid and the company needs to set a specific date for payments
