Jordan – The International Monetary Fund estimates that the percentage of women working in Jordan is quarter of the total female workforce in the Kingdom.
The international monetary fund noted in its report in the Funds Finance and Development Magazine for April, ensuring that equal employment opportunities for women and men are provided, as this will help to promote economic growth.
Womens access to jobs was considered a major challenge in a number of countries in the region, as a result of rigid labor regulations and large disparities in educational achievement.
The report called on governments in the region to reduce barriers to the employment of women and to remove restrictions on labor mobility.
In its recent report, the International Labor Organization (ILO) said that the Jordanian labor market is facing a major challenge as a result of large influxes.
The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the global unemployment would rise by 3.4 million this year, bringing the total number of unemployed to 200 million.
He stressed that the number of unemployed will also increase during the year 2018 by 2.7 million people, because of an increase in the number of employees exceeds the creation of new jobs.
