Algeria – Union of Workers of the National Society for Electricity and Gas (SNATEG) denounced the policy of double standards adopted by the President and Director General of the Sonelgaz Complex, calling on workers to close the door of division and engage strongly in the upcoming protest movement, which will be determined by the National Council on March 30, 2017 to force him to meet the legitimate demands.
It is expected that the National Council of (SNATEG) union meet on Thursday, March 30 to discuss abuses and underline the program, which would achieve the list of social demands, and to announce of their next protest movement, especially after the President ordered the Director General of the complex officials to listen to the concerns of workers Tizi Ouzou and Bejaia states and exclude the rest, which they considered an insult and an attempt to divide workers.
The union demanded the workers to stand up against this policy and close the door of division, stressing that their demands will only be met if they all join strongly in the next protest movement and paralyzed the compound finally to force the head of the complex to meet their legitimate demands. The union said that workers anger is not limited in Tizi Ouzou and Bejaia, but in all the states of the country. All workers have the right to be heard. Saying that the head of the complex ordered this because the strike in Tizi Ouzou and Bejaia was successful.
