Tunisia: Workers of the car cables factory enter a hunger strike

Tunisia – The car cables factory crisis in “Kaf” continues without any signs of release after the owner of the factory insisted on not renewing the contracts of 53 workers and closing the factory for 60 days.

 

Workers continue to the close National Road No. 5 in front of the factory with the ignition of the rubber wheels.

 

The General Secretary of the Syndicate of the Laboratory announced the entry into an open hunger strike, noting that this plant employs 440 workers.

 

A number of factory workers entered a hunger strike after the employer rejected a proposal by the Secretary General of the Labor Union to settle the issue of renewing the contracts of 53 workers.
