Saudi Arabia: Police arrests a worker harassed TV broadcasters

Saudi Arabia – Riyadh police arrested a migrant worker who used to call broadcasters of one of the TV channels and harass them verbally, using shamelessly phrases. A statement issued by the Riyadh police said that the police of the region received a message from the executive director of one of the media channels that an unknown person called TV presenters on air and harassed them using offensive language. The Department of Investigation and Criminal Research, analyzed the communication and took a number of measures and was able to identify the caller. The police then arrested the caller as he was a migrant worker, upon hearing his statements, he confirmed that he made those calls using his mobile phone. The police suspended him at the specialized police station, and called on the branch of the General Investigation and Prosecution in Riyadh region to complete the investigation procedures and to apply the anti-crime and combating cyber-crime system against him.
