Morocco – The Moroccan and Spanish authorities have decided to close the Bab-ceuta crossing for a period of seven days following the death of a Moroccan woman who is engaged in the smuggling, that was due to overcrowding and the stampede of the transport of goods that led to her death.
The Spanish newspaper El Diario, according to a statement by the Ceuta government, said the decision to temporarily close the border crossing came after a meeting on Monday night to diagnose the situation in the context of the death of the Moroccan woman.
The Moroccan authorities decided to close the crossing until May 2, with the aim of ending a series of measures aimed at providing all safety conditions at the border crossing, in order to avoid similar incidents.
