Iraq – About 500 Arab workers in Ahvaz have organized a general strike since yesterday, protesting the dismissal of a large number of them and replacing them with migrant workers, as well as unpaid salaries for more than six months. The protestors closed the highway and burned tires to protest against the police for using force to break the strike, sources said.
