Mauritania – Workers of health centers in Nouakchott have decided to partially stop working to protest delayed salaries. According to a statement issued by the Executive Office of the National Union of Health, health centers workers in Taiarat, Arafat, and Al Mujamaa clinics will stop working on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm. The statement added that the workers in these health centers will completely stop working on Wednesday. Stating that in recognition of the appreciated treatment of the head doctor of the Al Mujamaa clinics, and in order not to lose our right in the salaries of the last six months of 2016, we will partially stop working from 6 pm to 8 pm everyday until we get our rights back.
