Bahrain – A group of Bahraini workers renewed their sit-in in front of the Ministry of Labour building in the city of Isa to demand the payment of salaries that have not been paid for more than 4 months. For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor Sabah al-Dosari, said that these workers work in one of the largest companies for contracting and the ministry has received promises from more than once but unfortunately the company was unable to meet these promises due to the existence of considerable financial distress. A number of workers who took part in the sit-in said that the failure to pay their salaries for several months put them in a great dilemma. Many of them do not have enough money to support their families. The workers also pointed out that banks are now demanding that they pay their loans, or they will file cases against them. The workers demanded the Ministry of Labor to put more pressure on the company until their late salaries are paid.
