Tunisia – The members of the Administrative Committee of the General Union of Agriculture decided to carry out a strike on 21 and 22 of next month at the Ministry of Agriculture, in all agricultural representatives, companies, cooperatives, and all institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture. The members also decided to gather all workers on the second day of the strike in front of the Ministry of Agriculture and will be raising banners and slogans denouncing the behavior of the supervisory authority and dealing with various demands raised. The meeting of the administrative body was an occasion to raise the concerns of the sector they also discussed the occupational, social and trade union status. The members rejected the partnership law between the private sector and the public sector as it was approved without the involvement of the concerned parties. The sector complains that the Ministry of Agriculture intentionally neglects the trade union and does not involve it in the big choices.
