Egypt: Oven workers fast Ramadan in difficult conditions

Egypt- Fasting during the month of Ramadan this year is difficult for many Muslims because of the high temperatures. However, workers at Friesilcon ovens for iron production suffer the most during the month of Ramadan, because they are exposed to very high temperatures. Ahmed Osman, one of the officials in the iron production plants in Aswan, said that workers are exposed to very high temperature and lead to a reduction in the proportion of water in their bodies. He noted that the planet works 24 hours non stop which makes it hard for the worker to fast.
