Bahrain – The Municipal Council of the Northern Region renewed its call to citizens and residents to pay attention of security and safety requirements in homes and read guidance messages through various media. This came after fire broke in one of the Asian workers accommodation in the industrial area of Salamabad and left no casualties, as civil defense personnel managed to control the fire.
We have warned people over and over again about these randomness of the industrial area of Salamabad as the residential area should not be overlap with industrial zone. The area has become a mixed area now and put public health, environment and safety at great risk, said Hamad al-Dosari, a member of the Northern District Council. Accommodations in this area do not take into account the number of residents and donot meet the basic safety requirements, he added
Al-Dosari added, We call on the concerned authorities to tighten supervision and to prevent such incidents, which put human, properties and environment at great risks. He also called on the authorities to find solutions to fire problem in the houses and factories of Salamabad industrial zone, which repeated in 2015, 2016 and 2017, being exposed to a serious problem, which could lead to an explosion in one of the houses or factories and move gradually in the region and become a difficult disaster that can not be Controlled
