Egypt: Protesting Tourah Cement Company workers’ trial adjourned

Egypt- The trial of 32 Tourah Cement Company workers was adjourned until June 3 as decided by the Maadi Misdemeanor Court after police personnel failed to transport the defendants to the courtroom for the session. 

The security forces arrested 32 workers from Tourah Cement Company for striking for over 50 days, demanding to implement a court order in their favor stating that they are not affiliated with the supply of labour company, and prove that they work for Tourah Cement Company, they also were demanding  financial and administrative rights . Workers are facing charges of assaulting a police captain, obstructing justice and using violence to resist authorities.
