Algeria – The Algerian security authorities represented by the border guards of the National Gendarmerie today prevented a delegation from UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) from crossing the security barrier at the entrance to the border town of Beni Noef to meet with Syrian families. The Foreign Ministry said that the members of the Syrian families who have been stuck between the borders of the two countries, Algeria and Morocco have been guaranteed since 17 April.
The Moroccan Human Rights Organization, the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, the 105 associations, organizations, networks and coalitions revealed in a joint statement their solidarity with the refugees stuck near the Moroccan-Algerian border.
