Iran: Security forces violently break up a protest and arrest 50 in ahwaz

Iran – Security forces broke up a protest organized by workers at Ahwaz steel factory, and arrested 50 of them. Workers had been protesting since Wednesday morning of, 8 June in front of the military governors building in the occupied Ahwaz against the delayed wages and the companys rejection to let workers leave work after a period of service ranging from Twenty-five and twenty years. About 500 workers out of 4,000 workers protested in front of the military governors office in the capital, Ahwaz, to protest against the nonpayment of salaries for more than five months. In addition, to the company’s refusal to pay end of services compensation for more than six-year and replacing workers  by migrant workers from the Persian provinces. The sources confirmed that Iranian security forces, arrested 50 of the protesters and were transferred to an unknown destination, and used force to break up the protest.
