Yemen: Hundreds protest unpaid salaries

Yemen – Hundreds of protestors in the city of Taiz burned pictures of Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Dajr, demanding him to resign during a march to protest the failure of the government to pay the salaries of employees of the province for the ninth month in a row. The protesters chanted slogans calling for the departure of the Yemeni prime minister. A number of trade unions and civil society organizations participated in the protest organized the empty stomach, where participants raised slogans calling for the departure of the prime minister and the rapid disbursement of salaries for the previous nine months, unconditionally. What distinguishes the protests is the escalation against Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Dagher, who has been asked to leave because of his false promises. The leader of the empty stomach and the head of cement workers union, Hassan Yasiri said that they will continue their strike until their demands are met.
