Kuwait – Kuwait has stopped hiring expats in ministries, institutions and government agencies. The appointment of expats has been suspended in all specialties. The sources confirmed that the suspension applies to all specialties except doctors, noting that the appointment of teachers is very limited in some specialties. In recent months, the Kuwaiti government has taken several measures that imposed burden on expatriates, including raising rents and raising water and electricity bills.
