Algeria – More than 250 workers at the Turkish company responsible for the highway linking Khamis Maliana and the Hachnana region, called on the Prime Minister Abdel Majid Taboun, to oblige the foreign partner to pay workers who had not been paid for two months. According to workers representatives, the management of the Turkish company Mata based in Gindal Ain al-Dafla, is claiming that they are facing financial difficulties which prevent them from paying the salaries however workers say that the project is ongoing which confirms the opposite . The workers threatened to escalate the protest and shut down the companys headquarters today if the latter ignore their legitimate demands.
