Bahrain – Bahrain experienced 309 occupational accidents in 2016. The construction sector accounted for the largest number of accidents with 179 incidents. The manufacturing sector came in second place with 75 accidents, and the trade restaurants and hotels sector ranked third. The investigation showed that most of these accidents were caused by a failure to provide occupational safety and health requirements at the workplace. Falling from buildings reached 123 accidents, while collisions with objects came in the second place by 32 accidents.
