Bahrain -The number of violations of summer work ban from 1 July to 21 August reached to 87 violations and 164 workers violated the law. The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs praised the cooperation of private sector institutions and businessmen in implementing the decision for the benefit of workers and employers on the basis of humanitarian and international standards. It is not only important to complete the work but it is very important to maintain the workers lives and return them safely to their families. He also pointed out that there is a significant decrease in the number of violations between the current year and the previous year (2016), which reflects the growing awareness of the employers and the efforts of the inspectors in the ministry on the other hand. An overview of some of the figures published by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the past few weeks shows that the number of institutions violating the law was 15 institutions and 33 workers at the end of the first week of July, and rose to 26 institutions and 47 workers at the end of the second week 61 companies and 117 workers by the end of the fourth week of the same month. The number rose to 80, and 155 workers at the end of the sixth week (August) and then reached 87 institutions and 164 workers at the end of the seventh week.
