Yemen – Tens of Yemenis seeking new work visas in Saudi Arabia appealed to the Yemeni government and the official authorities in Riyadh in the hope of reconsidering the way to reach the Kingdom. A number of visa-holders complained that although they had obtained it through accredited offices to the Saudi Embassy in Sanaa and Aden, but were surprised by the requirement to reach the Kingdom by air and not to allow them to enter the country through land ports. Others demanded the authorities to reconsider the airline ticket prices and the cost of the visa itself; the latter exceeded 15,000 SR, not to mention that the closest flight from Aden to Riyadh will be after 80 days for new visa holders; threatening to expire their visa that allows for 90 days before traveling to the Kingdom. The Yemenis renewed their appeal to the Yemeni government to address the Saudi authorities to allow them to enter through open land ports, which have all the entry procedures.
