Egytp – Workers of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Holding Company in Alexandria appealed to the President of the Republic Abdul Fattah al-Sisi to intervene following the refusal of the head of the company, Mamdouh Raslan, to grant workers who are not subject to the civil service law their allowances. The special allowance law No. 16 of the current year was issued to grant employees of public sector companies and businesses, who are not subject to the Civil Service Law, a special allowance of 10% minimum of 65 pounds, maximum 130 pounds, and includes the basic wage from July. However, the President of the Holding Company decided to exclude the special allowance for the basic wage, and stop the retroactive payment of all allowances and incentives.
