Morocco – A number of sailors, hoteliers and employees of Moroccan company for commercial navigation Comanav in Casablanca protested against the non-payment of their dues and compensation after they were dismissed. Protesters in front of the companys headquarters called for the payment of their legal dues and compensation and the settlement of difficult social conditions, condemning at the same time, the marginalization, exclusion and procrastination for several years. One of the expelled workers said that this protest comes in order to demand our legal rights, and added: we have been dismissed years ago and that has made us homeless, as if we have not worked a day, and now banks are demanding us to pay the loans and we want our dues to pay the loans. Abdul Latif Manadour, another worker, said that since 2009, the company has dismissed over 1,600 workers; the concerned authorities should be fully responsible for the situation of the expelled workers.
