Algeria – Temporary health workers working in the 5-hour time-limited system called on the Ministry of Health to intervene and enable them to hold permanent positions. Sources pointed out that many hospitals witnessed protest moves and thus paralyzed the work in these hospital. The sources said that the protest came after the Ministry of Health violated previous promises concerning the final settlement of their professional status. Sources also said that some of these workers have been working for 12 years in temporary positions and they need to be employed in permanent positions especially that these hospitals announced for job vacancies that was open to external candidates.
