Tunisian Wages are the lowest in the Mediterranean region

Tunisia –   Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Noureddine Tabboubi said that the lowest wages in the Mediterranean are the wages of Tunisian workers. He pointed out that  the Union will hold a social negotiation in the beginning of April 2018, following the agreement signed with the government. He called on both the government and the Aaraf organization to abide by their commitments, in comments on news on the possibility of approving austerity budget and the rise in the mass of wages and difficult conditions, stressing that the lowest wages in the Mediterranean are the wages of Tunisian workers amid high inflation (5.7 percent), stressing the importance of social stability to drive investment.
