Mauritania – The investigating judge banned the Secretary-General of the Free Confederation of Mauritanian Workers CLTM Mr. Samouri Ould Bey to travel to Geneva for an international conference organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO), a move that trade unionists considered a blatant violation of international conventions and a serious restriction of trade union freedoms in the country. Samouri was supposed to travel today to participate in the international conference in Geneva.
