Egypt- Nearly 3,000 temporary workers, who were recently appointed by Major General Mahmud Ashmawi, Governor of Qalyubiya, are suffering a major crisis, as they have been assigned to special funds with zero balances. Mohamed Hamdi, one of the employees of Shabin al-Qanater, said that the current governor has issued his decisions to appoint them to special funds, stressing that more than 120 employee hired a lawyer to file a lawsuit. Hamdi added that the decision is against the law, as it is unfair for them to be appointed on special funds because all senior officials withdraw money from this fund leaving workers with insufficient balance that does not cover their salaries.
