Tunisia – Workers of “Enfidha” airport protest against low salaries

Tunisia – The workers of Enfidha International Airport went on strike for four days due to the refusal of the Turkish Company, who is running the airport, to comply with the minimum wages in force in Tunisia. The representative of the local labour federation in Enfidha Fawzi al-Amiri, said that the wages of workers does not exceed 288 dinars, while the guaranteed minimum wage in Tunisia is 338 dinars. Adding that the investor suggested in the last negotiating session an increase of 28 dinars and waive the rest of the amount.
