Tunisia – The council of the General Union of Electricity and Gas affiliated to the General Union of Tunisian Workers decided to go on strike on 28 and 29 November. . The general secretary of the of the Union Abdul-Karim al-Jalasi said that the strike comes because of the lifting of subsidies on electricity and resolve social files in the company, as well as the failure to resolve the corruption in the sector, including suspicions of corruption related to the request for the construction of a power plant and the high indebtedness of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company.
