Tunisia – On Thursday, about 6,000 security guards from the handling companies will take part in the strike due to the failure of the National Chamber for guarding, safety and currency transfer affiliated to the Customs Organization to sign the amendment supplements for four consecutive years, according to Hayat Trabelsi a member of the General Union of the professions and services. Yesterday the National Chamber of Guard and Safety and the transfer of currency and the General Union of professions and services were supposed to hold a reconciliation session regarding the strike, however, no one attended the meeting but the trade union party and Minister Mohamed Trabelsi, who tried to intervene to resolve the problem after he met on September 26 a number of security guards who carried out a protest in front of the ministry. But the intervention of the Minister of Social Affairs Mohammed Trabelsi did not lead to a solution regarding the failure to sign the amendments. The union then decided to carry out a strike tomorrow to demand their legitimate right.
