Lebanon: Municipality expels Syrian workers

Lebanon – After three days notice, the municipality of Hadath expelled four Syrian guards claiming that their notice period ended. According to municipal member George Haddad, only workshop workers and cleaners are allowed to stay and work at the municipality, while other workers are getting their notice and after three days they get expelled. The municipal guards demanded to get an explanation on why they were dismissed the response was a ministerial decision. One of the workers points out that not all foreign workers are targeted, only Syrian workers. The municipality gave them three days notice to leave.
